Wie schön ist doch die Weihnachtszeit! Plätzchenduft liegt in der Luft und ein Lebkuchenhaus war etwas ganz Besonderes. Das sind die idealen Topflappen für die Weihnachtszeit und alle Plätzchenliebhaber.
Wenn Sie gerne handarbeiten und auch mal eine neue Technik ausprobieren wollen, ist diese Anleitung genau richtig für Sie. Die Doubleface-Technik ist nicht schwer zu erlernen, bietet aber die Möglichkeit wirklich individuelle Topflappen zu erstellen. Ob für sich selbst oder als Geschenk für andere, bleibt jedem selbst überlassen.
Das Besondere an dieser Technik ist, dass man theoretisch zwei komplett unterschiedliche Seiten für einen Topflappen gestalten kann. Durch die Technik werden die Topflappen auch schön dick und somit hervorragend isolierend. Gleichzeitig spart man sich – bis auf den Abschluss - das Vernähen der Fäden, da diese direkt in den Topflappen eingearbeitet werden.
Mit diesem Download erhalten Sie eine ausführliche, 17-seitige PDF-Datei mit der Beschreibung und Fotos der Technik in deutsch. Die Beschreibung enthält außerdem grafische Zähl-Vorlagen und Color-Block-Angaben für jede Reihe der einzelnen Motive. Zusätzlich wird eine Anleitung der Grundtechnik mit vergrößerten Fotos zur Verfügung gestellt. Darin findet man auch einen Link zu einem Video-Tutorial mit der Grundtechnik des Doubleface-Häkelns.
Es werden Kenntnisse und eine gewisse Routine im Häkeln (Luftmasche, feste Masche, Kettmasche) vorausgesetzt. Kenntnisse der Doubleface-Technik sind von Vorteil, aber nicht zwingend nötig. Die Technik wird in der Anleitung ausführlich erläutert. Wer diese Technik zum ersten Mal anwendet, sollte zuerst nach der Anleitung ein kleines Probestück häkeln, um das Prinzip zu erfassen. Diese Topflappen zu häkeln erfordert einige Konzentration und Geduld, da insgesamt 6 Farben zum Einsatz kommen.

An Material benötigen Sie: bei Doubleface-Technik 2 Knäul Braun, 1 Knäul Wolle in Weiß und je ein Rest Grün, Gelb, Rot und Orange (z. B. Schachenmayr Catania oder vergleichbare Qualität) sowie eine zur Dicke der Wolle passende Häkelnadel. Wenn Sie die Topflappen normal häkeln wollen, reicht vermutlich ein Knäul Braun.

Tutorial doubleface potholders “gingerbread house”
How wonderful is the holiday season! The smell of cookies is in the air and a gingerbread house is something special. These are the perfect potholders for the holiday season and all cookie lovers.
If you like needlework and also want to try a new technique, this tutorial is for you. The doubleface technique is not difficult to learn, but offers the possibility to create truly individual potholders. Whether for yourself or as a gift for a loved one is up to you.
The special thing about these potholders is that you can create two completely different sides for one potholder. The technique also makes the potholders nice and thick and therefore insulating excellently. At the same time, you save on sewing the threads - except for the finish - as they are worked directly into the potholder.
Basic knowledge in crochet (chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch) is required. Knowledge of the doubleface technique is not required. The technique is explained in detail in the instructions. If you are using this technique for the first time, you should first crochet a small test piece according to the instructions in order to grasp the principle. After that, implementation is not difficult anymore.
With this download you will receive a detailed, 17-page PDF file with the description and photos of the technique in German and English (US terminology). The description contains the graphic counting templates and colored number blocks for each row. In addition, instructions of the basic technique of doubleface crochet with enlarged photos are provided. The finished potholders have a size of approx. 17.5 cm x 22 cm when crocheted in double face and about 17.5 cm x 20.5 cm when crocheted with the normal technique.
For the double face technique you will need for one pair of potholders: 2 balls of brown, 1 ball of wool in white and a scrap each of green, yellow, red and orange (e.g. Schachenmayr Catania or similar quality) and a crochet hook that matches the thickness of the wool. If you want to crochet the potholders normally, one ball of brown will probably be enough.
