Für Eulen-Fans ein unbedingtes Muss. Dieses Topflappen-Paar zeigt eine niedliche Eulenfamilie. Auf der Vorderseite der Topflappen sind die Eulen jeweils von vorne zu sehen, einmal mit geschlossenen Augen und einmal mit offenen Augen. Die Rückseite ist bei beiden Topflappen gleich und zeigt die Eulen von hinten.
Die Doubleface-Technik ist nicht schwer zu erlernen, bietet aber die Möglichkeit wirklich individuelle Topflappen zu erstellen. Wenn Sie gerne handarbeiten und auch mal eine neue Technik ausprobieren wollen, ist diese Anleitung genau richtig für Sie. Ob für sich selbst oder als Geschenk für jemanden, der Eulen mag, bleibt jedem selbst überlassen.
Das besondere an diesen Topflappen ist, dass man zwei komplett unterschiedliche Seiten für einen Topflappen gestalten kann. Durch die Technik werden die Topflappen auch schön dick und somit hervorragend isolierend. Gleichzeitig spart man sich – bis auf den Abschluss - das Vernähen der Fäden, da diese direkt in den Topflappen eingearbeitet werden.
Mit diesem Download erhalten Sie eine ausführliche, 20-seitige PDF-Datei mit der Beschreibung und Fotos der Technik sowie den Vorlagen für die gezeigten Topflappen in deutsch. Die Beschreibung enthält außerdem grafische Zähl-Vorlagen und Color-Block-Angaben für jede Reihe der einzelnen Motive. Es werden Grundkenntnisse im Häkeln (Luftmasche, feste Masche, Kettmasche) vorausgesetzt. Kenntnisse der Doubleface-Technik sind nicht nötig, diese wird in der Anleitung ausführlich erläutert.

An Material benötigen Sie Wolle in Grün (Hauptfarbe, etwas mehr als ein Knäul), vier verschiedene Brauntöne, Gelb, Schwarz und Weiß (z. B. Schachenmayr Catania oder vergleichbare Qualität) sowie eine zur Dicke der Wolle passende Häkelnadel. Die Anleitung enthält noch eine Bonusvariante der drei Motive mit Blättern, für diese Variante wird noch eine zusätzliche Farbe (helleres oder dunkleres Grün) benötigt.

Potholders with Owls in doubleface crochet
A must-have for owl fans. This pair of potholders features a cute family of owls. On the front of the potholders are the owls from the front, one with closed eyes and one with open eyes. The back is the same for both potholders and shows the owls from behind.
If you like needlework and also want to try a new technique, this tutorial is for you. The doubleface technique is not difficult to learn, but offers the possibility to create truly individual potholders. Whether for yourself or as a gift for a loved one is up to you.
The special thing about these potholders is that you can create two completely different sides for one potholder. The technique also makes the potholders nice and thick and therefore insulating excellently. At the same time, you save on sewing the threads - except for the finish - as they are worked directly into the potholder.
Basic knowledge in crochet (chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch) is required. Knowledge of the doubleface technique is not required. The technique is explained in detail in the instructions. If you are using this technique for the first time, you should first crochet a small test piece according to the instructions in order to grasp the principle. After that, implementation is not difficult anymore. The difficulty is due to using many colors.

The description contains the graphic counting templates and colored number blocks for each row. In addition, instructions of the basic technique of doubleface crochet with enlarged photos are provided. For the materials you will need wool in green (main color, a little more than a ball), four different shades of brown, yellow, black and white (e.g. Schachenmayr Catania or comparable quality) and a crochet hook suitable for the thickness of the wool. The pattern also includes a bonus variation of the three designs with leaves, for which you will need an additional color (lighter or darker green).
