Das besondere an diesen Topflappen ist, dass man zwei komplett unterschiedliche Seiten für einen Topflappen gestalten kann. Durch die Technik werden die Topflappen auch schön dick und somit hervorragend isolierend. Gleichzeitig spart man sich – bis auf den Abschluss - das Vernähen der Fäden, da diese direkt in den Topflappen eingearbeitet werden.
Wenn Sie gerne handarbeiten und auch mal eine neue Technik ausprobieren wollen, ist diese Anleitung genau richtig für Sie. Die Doubleface-Technik ist nicht schwer zu erlernen, bietet aber die Möglichkeit wirklich individuelle Topflappen zu erstellen. Ob für sich selbst oder als Geschenk für einen Katzenliebhaber, bleibt jedem selbst überlassen.
Mit diesem Download erhalten Sie eine ausführliche, 15-seitige PDF-Datei mit der Beschreibung und Fotos der Technik in deutsch. Die Beschreibung enthält außerdem grafische Zähl-Vorlagen und Color-Block-Angaben für jede Reihe der einzelnen Motive. Es werden Grundkenntnisse im Häkeln (Luftmasche, feste Masche, Kettmasche) vorausgesetzt. Kenntnisse der Doubleface-Technik sind von Vorteil, aber nicht zwingend nötig. Die Technik wird in der Anleitung ausführlich erläutert. Wer diese Technik zum ersten Mal anwendet, sollte zuerst nach der Anleitung ein kleines Probestück häkeln, um das Prinzip zu erfassen, danach ist die Anwendung nicht mehr schwer.

An Material benötigen Sie 2 Knäul Wolle in einem dunklen Blau, 1 Knäul Wolle in schwarz und einen Rest Wolle in einem hellen Gelb (z. B. Schachenmayr Catania oder vergleichbare Qualität) sowie eine zur Dicke der Wolle passende Häkelnadel.

A great potholder for cat lovers. These potholders feature four different images of a cat on the roof of a house.
If you like needlework and also want to try a new technique, this tutorial is for you. The doubleface technique is not difficult to learn, but offers the possibility to create truly individual potholders. Whether for yourself or as a gift for a loved one who likes cats is up to you.
The special thing about these potholders is that you can create two completely different sides for one potholder. The technique also makes the potholders nice and thick and therefore insulating excellently. At the same time, you save on sewing the threads - except for the finish - as they are worked directly into the potholder.
Basic knowledge in crochet (chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch) is required. Knowledge of the doubleface technique is not required. The technique is explained in detail in the instructions. If you are using this technique for the first time, you should first crochet a small test piece according to the instructions in order to grasp the principle. After that, implementation is not difficult anymore. The difficulty is due to using many colors.

The description contains the graphic counting templates and colored number blocks for each row. You will need 2 balls of dark blue, 1 ball of black and a scrap of wool in a light yellow (e.g. Schachenmayr Catania or comparable quality) and a crochet hook that matches the thickness of the wool. Here, the mottled variant Catania denim in dark blue was used for the night sky.
